Hotel Montmorency "cité Médiévale De Carcassonne"

My mistakes: I didn't know they were two hotels together (or the same one with two names): the Hotel Montmorency and the Hotel Du Chateau. I got carried away by the photograph at the entrance. Yes, it is correct, but it does not give the image of the poverty of its rooms. I agreed to pay for the parking space the hotel offered me, without seeing a lot of free parking in the entire area. I accepted the hotel breakfast, which was served quickly, like a happy fast food meal. My mistake in paying such an amount of money for a room covered with walls of dizzying figures, big enough to fit only the bed, with an uncomfortable mattress. My suggestion: Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Not a safe hotel for children!!! It's a beautiful hotel with a great location, but unfortunately the staff is not very kind, and don't appear very concerned with keeping the hotel and their surroundings safe. The hotel is split by a major road and guests have to cross that road to access many of the rooms - but the hotel has made the crossing a lot more dangerous than they had to, and won't fix it.

Just returned from this hotel . we spent 2 night here in junior suite room 43. Rooms were fantastic air conditioning was amazing and very clean. Views from room were just beautiful of the castle and city The hotel location is definitely the best in carcasonne and views from outside courtyard is just breathtaking. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Service was excellent for courtyard and by pool thank you ao much . The pool area and spa is beautiful must see hotel 10/10 This is best hotel in carcasonne thank you. We will be back again soon. Highly recommend.

Wonderful pool. Amazing location. Lovely seating area for coffee or a glass of wine overlooking the walls. All in all a lovely 3 star hotel mostly because of the 4 star that it is attached to and benefits from the facilities of. Lacking in any extra touches, functional but great location . Ripped bedding which asked to be changed was not changed. When brought up at check out I was told it was changed but maybe the new bedding was also ripped. Lovely room though hard bed and very functional floors made it feel like a business rather than a vacation hotel. Staff were pleasant though stuck rigidly to their rules- for example when asked if I could buy a piece of fruit or bread as I was leaving early for the airport and did not have time for breakfast I was told they could not sell me individual fruit. Otherwise they were mostly helpful and pleasant. All in all a lovely functional 3 star hotel with good facilities attached in a great location.

Loved this hotel! Beautiful grounds, friendly staff. Our initial reception was one of the best ever; showed us the best places to go to on a map, made us a reservations for dinner, and also a spa appointment. Had a lovely massage and facial. Enjoyed a cocktail on the terrace with the fortress wall in the background. Had a beautiful room with a stunning little terrace. Hope to come back soon!

Came here as part of a tour group in October 2022. Modern decor, but a little too funky and loud for me. My single room was extremely tiny. In the bathroom, I had to shimmy my way around the sink to get to the toilet. Thin walls, and I could hear my neighbor's conversation. Wi-Fi was terrible. Breakfast was good (especially the two hotel mascot dogs). Very close to the fortress and shops. Balcony was a nice touch, but lots of bugs in the warm months.
